The 2023 (China) Asia-Europe Commodity Trade Expo opened in Urumqi, Xinjiang on August 17, 2023, with participants from 40 countries and regions, as well as 7 international organizations. And the number of trade promotion activities reached 33, which is the largest number of activities in the same period of previous business fairs.
The 2023 Business Expo is hosted by the China-Eurasia Expo Secretariat and the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. The total planned exhibition area is about 70,000 square meters, and there are three major exhibition areas. Among them, the commodity trade exhibition area includes 6 exhibition themes including energy and smart life, cultural tourism industry, digitalization and high-tech, agricultural products and food, and textiles and clothing. The investment cooperation exhibition area focuses on displaying the advantageous industries, investment cooperation and industrial transfer projects of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and the development achievements of various cities and municipalities in Xinjiang, investment environment and cooperation projects with domestic provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, etc. In the imported goods exhibition area, there are investment cooperation areas and commodity trade areas for Central Asian countries, RCEP member countries and other "Belt and Road" countries and regions.
As an important content and part of the China-Eurasia Expo, the China-Eurasia Expo has formed a commercial and trade cooperation platform that is in line with the China-Eurasia Expo, echoes each other, and connects with each other. Since 2015, it has been successfully held for three times. An important channel for cooperation and an important carrier for the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
