Heating tape is an electric tape used for heat preservation or anti-freezing of pipes, tanks, instruments and other equipment. It has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, and environmental protection. In large-scale warehouses, due to the large number of pipes, tanks, instruments and other equipment, the need for insulation and antifreeze is great, so the installation of heating tapes is particularly important. The following will introduce the installation method of heating tape in large warehouses.
Heating tapes are mainly divided into self-limiting heating tapes and constant power heating tapes. When choosing, you should choose based on actual needs. The specifications of the heating tape mainly refer to its length and power. The length can be selected according to the needs of the equipment, generally not more than 100 meters. The power should be selected according to the insulation or antifreeze needs of the equipment. Generally, it is required to meet the maximum demand of the equipment.
The installation method of heating tape is as follows:
1. Preparation before installation
Before installation, the equipment should be cleaned to ensure that the surface is free of impurities and moisture. At the same time, check whether the heating tape is intact. If it is damaged or broken, it should be replaced in time.
2. Connection of heating tape
The heating tape should be connected using a special junction box to ensure a firm connection and good waterproofing effect. When connecting, the wiring part of the heating tape should be inserted into the junction box, and then the screws should be tightened with special tools.
3. Pasting of heating tape
The heating tape should be adhered to the surface of the equipment and secured with aluminum foil tape. When pasting, attention should be paid to the flatness and tightness of the heating tape to avoid looseness or gaps. At the same time, attention should be paid to the location of the aluminum foil tape to avoid affecting the heat dissipation effect of the heating tape.
4. Connection of power cord
The power cord of the heating tape should be connected to the corresponding power socket and waterproofed using materials such as waterproof tape. When connecting, pay attention to the length and specifications of the power cord to ensure that it can meet the power supply needs of the device. At the same time, attention should be paid to the location of power sockets to avoid safety hazards.
