Electric heat tracing system is a heat preservation technology that uses electric energy to provide heat. It is mainly composed of electric heating cable, controller and accessories.
1. Electric heating cable: Electric heating cable is a conductive coil made of high-temperature heat-resistant material, which has certain flexibility. According to different application requirements, electric heating cables can be self-regulating or constant temperature. The self-regulating electric heating cable can automatically adjust the heating power according to the ambient temperature, while the constant temperature electric heating cable needs to adjust the temperature through an external controller.
2. Controller: The controller is the core part of the electric heating system, which is used to monitor and control the heating power of the electric heating cable. According to different application requirements, the controller can be a simple thermostatic controller or a more advanced intelligent controller. The energy controller usually has the characteristics of temperature sensor, programmable function and remote monitoring. It can monitor the ambient temperature in real time and automatically adjust the power of the heating cable according to the preset temperature range.
3. Accessories: The electric heat tracing system also includes some necessary parts, such as junction box, terminal box, adjustable bracket, etc. These accessories are used to connect and fix heating cables, and provide power supply and protection functions.
The working principle of the electric heat tracing system is to transfer heat to the object that needs to be heated, such as pipes, equipment or containers, by energizing the electric heating cable to generate heat. In this way, the purposes of heat preservation, antifreeze and heating can be achieved. The controller can adjust the power of the electric heating cable according to the change of the ambient temperature to ensure that the temperature of the heated object is always within the set range.
Electric heating system should be extensive, including but not limited to the following fields:
- Industry: in chemical, petroleum, natural gas and other industries, it is used for heat preservation and heating of pipelines, storage tanks, reactors and other equipment.
- Cold chain logistics: used to maintain the appropriate temperature of the conveyor belt and cargo storage area to ensure the quality and safety of refrigerated food.
- Urban heating: Used in floor heating systems, hot water lines, etc. to provide a comfortable indoor temperature.
- Food processing: used for heat preservation and heating of stoves, ovens and other equipment to ensure temperature control during food processing.
- Antifreeze and deicing: used for antifreezing and deicing of pipelines, valves, storage tanks and other equipment to ensure the normal operation of the system.
